Dear Ella,
You are a daughter of Heavenly Father who loves you. You are the daughter of a King, which makes you a princess. Before you came to this earth, you were a valiant servant of the Lord and you sustained His plan for us. Because of your strong spirit, you were chosen to come during these last days to prepare the Earth for the Second Coming of our Savior.
Sometimes I get caught up in the things of this world that don’t really matter and I apologize for that. I get frustrated that you want to do everything on your own, even when it is not physically possible for you to do it. Isn’t that why we came to this earth? To learn and grow and become independent? Your natural curiosity and clever ability to get into almost everything makes me laugh and cry almost at the same time, but you really are enjoying all of these new senses you’re developing. I guess I should stop and smell the flowers, and the flour, and the chocolate powder, and the diaper cream every now and then too.
What I am trying to say is that although I may become frustrated with your stubbornness, I also know that it is something you will need in order to keep fighting the battle here on earth. Your chastity, integrity, and testimony will be constantly challenged by the world. I want you to always be stubborn about choosing the right. I hope that you will use your natural curiosity to enjoy this beautiful world that the Lord has created for us. And most importantly, I hope you will always remember who you are. You are a daughter of God. I love you princess.
Love,
Mom
